They look delicious! I love onion rings despite not liking onions in many other forms.

Maybe we can persuage Luke to make them again when you're here!

Ooh, those look good! Inspires me to make some again--Herm likes them even more than I do.

Do you have any advice on the oil? We've now used the same oil for onion rings, then doughnuts (which didn't taste like onions even though some were worried about it :) and last night for fish. Luke's been looking for anything to deep fry, lately! Too bad it's all rather fattening and artery clogging - but for a treat it's nice :)

Advice on the oil, such as...what kind to use, whether it's ok to keep using it? I'm not sure what you mean. :)

Sorry :) I was wondering how many times to use the oil, how to store it and how to dispose of it. The oil we used for the olibolen(sp?) at Christmas time sat in the deep fryer out in the garage until spring :) And then I poured it into a margarine container and threw it in the garbage.....I wasn't quite sure what to do with it!

I'm not much of a deep fryer, and I tend to use a really little amount of oil when I fry, so I don't really have much left over to use again, so I'm sorry I can't help you there. When I do fry, I use an oil like coconut oil or red (virgin) palm oil, and if I have some I want to toss, I do like you did. :) (Except for the sitting in the garage till spring part. :) )
